The Maurino olive tree is a Tuscan PGI variety that originated from the Lucca area. Afterwards, it quickly spread throughout Italy thanks to its excellent resistance to strong winds and low temperatures. This variety is characterized by vigorous and dense canopy, a peculiarity that makes it impenetrable to the wind. It is widely used as pollinator due to its genetic characteristics.
